William Schoch, a Consultant at Curtis Strategy, specializes in strategy, governance, innovation, and M&A for trade associations and credit unions.
He previously served as President & CEO of Wespay from 2008 to 2025, where he significantly grew the payments trade association and founded Wespay Advisors, a successful payments consulting subsidiary. Prior to Wespay, Bill spent eleven years at Visa International in various leadership roles, including business manager for the Original Credit Transaction (now Visa Direct in the U.S.) and global product manager for debit products. At Visa, he was assigned to serve as executive director of GlobalPlatform, a standards organization. Before Visa, he spent eight years with Citibank developing payments and collections solutions for corporate clients. He began his career at Nacha, focusing on business-to-business payment applications in the ACH Network.
Bill has held board positions with Wespay, Nacha, Cantaloupe, Inc., and Project Open Hand, and was involved with the U.S. Faster Payments Council, Center for Payments, and the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force. He is a member of ASAE and Associations West, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
